Berlin is home to one of Europe’s most dynamic FinTech ecosystems — with over 189 Fintechs, major banks transforming their digital offerings, and a regulatory environment that encourages innovation. The city combines deep tech talent, a vibrant startup culture, and proximity to the European institutions shaping financial regulation.
We bring together expertise and talent from finance, fintech, strategy and ecosystem work — carried by the core team and supported by industry experts and research partnerships.
From public initiative to Europe’s Financial Wellbeing platform
HoFT Berlin GmbH and the HoFT Support Association were established to strengthen Berlin’s position as a leading Fintech hub. The initiative launched with support from Investitionsbank Berlin (IBB), the Berlin Senate, and founding partners including Deutsche Bank, VISA, and DKB.
HoFT secured institutional support from the State of Berlin, launched the Scale-Up Academy, published Germany’s first Financial Wellbeing Score with the Financial Health Initiative, and hosted the inaugural FinWell Summit, convening over 200 financial sector leaders.
HoFT transitioned into a privately operated platform focused on Financial Wellbeing in Europe. In January 2026, we opened our workspace at HoFT in Berlin for fintech teams and innovators. Alongside this, we are launching FinWell products for companies and the public, including Employee Financial Wellbeing Studies and a market intelligence platform, with additional products rolling out throughout the year.
